Post Easter Blues
You know, after the rush of the Easter Holidays, the people in the streets buying last minute chocolate, the snarl of traffic on the 101 of people going home for the holidays, the constant Easter carols playing all day and all night on the radio, the continual "Happy Easter" "Happy Passover," "Happy Equinox" greetings, the sight of Peter Cottontail on every corner soliciting Salvation Army pennies...well, you know it makes you long for the more sedate and low key holiday of, say Christmas.
So the last two weeks I've been laying low. Working on my miracle. Trying to get in tune with the great Broadcast from the next life. And, of course, showing up in court when I need to so that my clients have good solid representation in court. YOu know. Maintaining.
We are now officially between holidays, the second longest stretch of the year. (The longest is between July 4 and Labor Day, two solid months of no special sales in the department stores and no consideration of what to do when everyone else has the day off).
One of the things I realize is that I am not allowing myself to get out of town too often with this practice. So I am working on doing so at least once per month, even if it's to ride to Redding (a two and a half hour ride either way). A change of scenery from time to time refreshes the soul.
And this little entry, which has no theme, no purpose, and really no aim except to keep the blog refreshed at least twice monthly. Isn't it funny that when I first blogged I restrained myself from filing two or more entries a day, and now I don't even remember enough to file two a month? Or maybe my life is more quiet now that I'm solo and no longer living in the bustle of SoCal.
It's your call. For now, I need to write some letters and get a little lunch.
